synopsis;

John McClane has had a rough couple of christmas'... in die hard 1 he is trapped in a tower in LA with Hans threatening to kill hostages if he doesnt get his way, john tries to deter them from their plans as much as he possibly can while getting really beat up along the way! Die hard 2 is very similar but it is at an airport and the object they are trying to obtain is a drug lord...

Review

Die Hard 1;

Oh man this movie is such a classic! Even if you dont think it is technically a christmas movie...(this has been under quite some debate for many a years) it is still a bad ass action movie that happens o take place during the holiday! Every time I see Bruce Willis name on the opening credits I just want to add a little bracket saying (with hair)! I know in the later movies 3 and four I think he is with his signature bald head but for the purpose of the reviews of one and two he does look great with hair too.

This movie has Alan Rickman in it.. how could it be a bad movie with him in it! He is the one running the very badly accented german bad guy group, he is just very amazing in this role and I could just listen to him talk for hours!

This is the movie where we get the iconic line "Yippeee-Ki-Yay, Motherfucker"

In once scene he gets some advice to make little fists with your toes on some carpet..Ive always wondered if anyone has ever tried that? I dont fly often and once we get to where we are going I always forget about this little tidbit so not to sure if it actually works..

In this movie he talks to himself often and usually makes fun of himself which is always entertaining, there are a few cringe worthy scenes in this film as well, first one is when he has to walk across the glass on the ground and later has to go pick them out of his feet (yes i know it is rubber feet but it still looks really gross) then the next one is when he has the gun taped to his back, it doesnt look like very good tape but still that would hurt like hell to rip that off any part of your body!

Hans isnt the only bad guy in this movie, Thornburg is a new reporter that just doesnt know when to quit. If it wasnt for him interviewing johns kids Hans wouldnt of realized who he was and wouldnt have used his wife as a human shield! Holly Punches the TV reporter Thornburg when he tires to get in their face after everything they just went through as well as for bringing their kids into it.

Die Hard 2;

This one is not quite as good as the first but still has some great action scenes..

One of them that I dont get is when we are introduced to Colonel Stuart he is doing his Thai Chi or what ever but why in the world is he nude!?

It is kinda nice that they continued the kinda jerk officer bit into this one as well. where John has to deal with an idiot captain and just ends up doing what ever he needs to do to get the bad guy.

Can we also take a second to talk about the old lady that Holly is sitting next to..who the hell let that lady have a taser? and what made her think it was ok to try it on her DOG! that poor puppy! I hope this woman was going to get some help.

The CGI in this movie just went a step further then the first one, The scene with him being ejected from the plane while it was being blown up is a famous one but man that green screen (yes I know it was the 80s and very good at the time but looking at it now it is really funny), then after the British plane crashes and he is staring at the wreckage it is clearly green screened again, then the end scene where all the planes are on the runway it looks like toy planes I am not to sure what was going on there.

Holly encounters the jerk Thornburg again on the plane and gets her revenge yet again, he is the one that announced to the world that there were terrorists who took over the airport which created the mass panic which in turn delayed the police getting to that plane.

I also want to mention the one guy of the team who was only there cause one guy called in sick..that poor random guy.
