Synopsis;

A boy is having a horrible holiday with his family and wishes that it wasnt christmas and brings about the Krampus. An ancient Anti-Clause creature thats half man and half goat.

Oh man all the things that I can say about this movie! It is so amazingly horrible that it is the perfect holiday movie to break up all the happy, loving and dramatic holiday movies.

My favourite part of this entire movie is the Gingerbread men...

They are so amazingly CGIed little gingerbread men that just come to life and attack! little ninjas and the look on the ones face after the kid he was luring took a bit will forever be burned into my brain! the other toys were pretty well done, the angel and her disgusting tongue, the robot who likes sharp objects and the freaking JACK IN THE BOX! I hate those things at the best of times but now this one eats people!

Aunt Dorthy is so amazing her one liners and no shits given attitude was pretty great, she makes fun of them not visiting and teaches the kids how to make peppermint Shnapps hot chocolate! Its always great to show that not all families get along during the holidays, that there are different types of people in a family, Toni Collette was the primed has to have perfect christmas decor and food then Allison Tolmans character was a little more back country and guns. You have everything in this film; guns, elves, evil toys, little demonic gingerbread cookies and self actualization of a 10 year old!

Fun fact;

In some parts of Germany and Bavaria, Krampusnacht is an event that happens on December 5th where men dress up as the Krampus and run around picking on naughty children!
